School Camps

Primary One Day Camp

Our primary students from years 3 to 6 kick off the academic year with a one-day camp that is designed to promote team-building and friendships. This camp offers a variety of activities such as team challenges, sports games, and creative workshops that encourage students to work together, communicate effectively, and problem-solve as a team. It also provides an opportunity for students to meet new classmates and form friendships that will support them throughout the school year.

In addition, the camp is a fantastic way for students to connect with their teachers and school staff in a more relaxed environment, fostering a positive and supportive learning atmosphere for the rest of the year.

The one-day camp is a fun and engaging way for students to begin the school year on a positive note, creating a sense of community and belonging that will set the stage for a successful academic year ahead. It is an opportunity for students to develop leadership and team-building skills while enjoying exciting adventures and educational experiences in a natural setting.

Secondary Camp

Our secondary school camp program offers students a unique opportunity to enhance their leadership and team building skills in a fun and engaging setting. Through a variety of activities such as outdoor adventures, educational workshops, and nature-based experiences, students are able to develop important life skills that will benefit them both in and out of the classroom.

At our camp, students have the opportunity to challenge themselves physically and mentally, while also forming strong bonds with their peers. The experiences and memories gained from our camp program are invaluable and can have a lasting impact on a student's personal growth and development.

We believe that our camp program provides students with a well-rounded and enriching experience that complements their academic studies and encourages them to step out of their comfort zones. We are proud to offer this opportunity to our students and are confident that they will leave camp with new skills, friendships, and memories that will last a lifetime.

Canberra Trip

An annual Canberra trip is offered to secondary students as part of a valuable educational experience at GSCS. This optional trip provides students with the opportunity to enhance their understanding of Australian history, politics, and culture through visits to key landmarks and institutions in the nation's capital.

The trip is not compulsory and will be at the parent's cost. However, we believe that the benefits of this experience are well worth the investment.

By participating in the Canberra trip, students have the chance to engage with their learning in a hands-on and immersive way, deepening their knowledge and broadening their horizons.

Activities on the trip may include guided tours of Parliament House, the Australian War Memorial, and other significant sites, as well as interactive workshops and discussions with experts in the field. This experience not only complements classroom learning but also fosters important skills such as critical thinking, collaboration, and cultural awareness.
